Adjusting screen resolution?

  • i have reformatted my laptop and now the screen resolution is all wrong. it is currently on 1280 x 800 and its too small. I usually have it at 1280 x 768 but this isn't an option and i can only go down to 1024 x 768. Is there anyway i can manually change the resolution to 1280 x 768?? I have updated drivers, which hasn't worked. thanks for any help or suggestions.

  • If you reformatted, you probably didnt reinstall the correct video driver. Go to the pc mfg site and download it

  • same as above, click onblank space> display properties>sttings>slide the slider > accept>ok> wait> wholla!!

  • if you're running xp (vista will be similar) to adjust the resolution manually right click on a blank area of the desktop and click properties in the dialogue box that appears
a new dialogue box will appear click the settings tab
you'll see a slider move it to the resolution you want using the mouse and holding the left button down drag the slider and click apply if everything is ok it'll ask if you want to keep that resolution click ok to accept it it you loose the picture it will revert to the original resolution after about 20 seconds that is if you don't accept it
