Can anyone explain to me how the dermal anchors/micordermals are done??? ?

  • i asked this question earlier today but i didnt get a lot of replies

im thinking about getting a neck/nape piercing i know that they dont last for a long tine and that they will reject with some time
a few days ago i found about microdermals/dermal anchors sp know that might be a better idea that the piercing but how its done????
are they like cutting something ??? ive seen some videos on you tube and its look like they are doing a whole with a needle or somethign and thet they put scissors/clamps they to make the whole a bit bigger
it looks painfull but is it really ??? and how much approx.it will cost i know that prices vary from place to place
and does anyone know a good shops that do it ?? i live in NYC

  • "Typical microdermal insertion - 1. Entry/exit point is made using a needle or dermal punch; 2. Microdermal jewellery is inserted in to this hole and used to elevate a pocket as needed; 3. Jewellery is coerced in to a correct placement."

apparently it hurts no less than a surface piercing. and i would suggest calling around and seeing a portfolio to make sure they know what they're doing. be ready to make a commitment! good luck :)
