Mutley has behavior probs.....?

  • my mutley (dog) always cries when i leave the house. he is about 10-11 months old and i dont think he is out of his puupy stage yet. he still tears stuff up in the yard. but when i leave and close the gate he goes ape and he yelps and wines like there is no tomorrow.... somebody told me it could be anxiety because he thinks i might not return. i am 15 and i am home schooled so i am with his 95% of the time. my neighbor who is also my aunt (family love) called the animal control on us, about his wining once and she also told them that we mistreat him and dont feed him. WHICH IS BS. we buy him 50-60 u.s. pounds of dog food every month! he has dog food down all the time. any way they just told us to keep him quite. MY ORIGINAL QUESTION WAS what can i do to keep him from wining so much when i leave, also stop him from jumping on people who come in the yard when he is excited. he is trainable ive taught him to sit, laydown, and turn, also stop, and no, of course. how do i train him with the current issues?


    MY AUNT HAS APPROX. 10 DOGS AND SOME PUPPIES ON THE WAY. SHE BUYS ONE 50 POUND BAG OF DOG FOOD FOR ALL OF THOSE DOGS. IS THAT NORMAL? i dont think so the jump the fence to eat mutleys food. but idk that i should call animal control or not???? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.


  • Mutley probably has separation anxiety. You need to familiarize him with other dogs, people,smells, and sights, and eventually it will pass. Separation anxiety is no joke though, my mom's dog broke through a glass door because of separation anxiety. About your aunt, she might wanna check the legal dog limit for where you live because she could get fined for that and get some dogs taken away...
