Options:

My HP Photosmart Express isn't responding!?

  • I've tried unplugging it and then replugging it, shutting down my computer (which is a Dell) and nothing works. It won't even turn on. It doesn't print, copy or scan anything. Nothing. Just a blank screen. Somebody please help! I have no idea how to make it work! And I also have no clue what caused it to stop working...there hasn't been any major storms.

    Please help!

  • Hi Ms

    Relax and take a coffee. I will walk you through it. If this does not work, than the printer is defective. Period or the SB cable.

    First, power on the printer and disconnect the usb cable from the printer.

    Install the software from the CD now. At one point during installation, it will advise you to plug in the USB cable. Do it. It will finish installation.
    Now reboot. Windows will find the new printer and you should be able to print right there and then. It will ask you to print a test page and answer YES.

    If this fails, look no further. Return the printer or change the cable.
