Options:

set as Dashboard

  • I've done a search already, but I couldn't find anything applicable that I haven't already done.

    My default dashboard is EvoX.
    In my C drive I have xboxdash.xbe which is EvoX
    I installed XBMC to E:AppsXBMC and can launch fine from withing EvoX

    I renamed my EvoX dash for backup purposes
    Downloaded XBMC shortcut xbe and renamed to xboxdash.xbe
    Created a text file containing the link E:AppsXBMCdefault.xbe
    renamed text file to xboxdash.cfg
    uploaded xboxdash.cfg to C drive

    When I reboot I get an error screen (didn't pay attention to which). So I boot into UnleashX using MechAssult and revert to my backup which gets me back to my EvoX dash.

    I've tried redoing the whole process multiple times... hopefully you guys can save me from going crazy.

    Hope this is what you need.

    The only xbe in my C directory is xboxdash.xbe, so I am sure this is my booting dash.

    No, I do not have an E:dashboard


  • then clearly you have the wrong XBE file.
    can you tell us which softmod package you are using? also do you have the directory E:Dashboard?

  • try the Team UIX shortcut. It has no configuration, it's hardcoded to execute E:AppsXBMCdefault.xbe and is relatively foolproof. New users seem especially prone to encountering errors with the Team XBMC shortcut for some reason.
    Just my 2 cents...


  • I tried using the shortcut generator. I ended up with the same thing. Error 13.
